The Lake Merritt provides a wide array of services that are available to support our residents.
Our special one-of-a-kind independent lifestyle community is designed for older adults who want to remain active and engaged in life, yet are ready to relinquish daily tasks and home maintenance. Now, residents can have more time and energy for the things they really enjoy: family members and grandchildren, outings with friends and outside interests and activities. At The Lake Merritt, residents will discover a new community of people to enjoy life with.
Our 24-hour staffing provides a personal support system like you might find in a hotel. Our staff can help with arranging transportation for shopping or personal appointments, finding outside service providers like dry cleaners, making reservations for special events, or mapping out the best route for a recreational walk.
Every resident is provided with a Lifeline safety pendant to summon help in the event of an emergency. When pressed, the pendant alerts our 24-hour staff that the resident needs assistance.
Weekly housekeeping services are provided to make life easier. Plus, if residents choose to use our linens, weekly bed and bath laundry services are included as part of our services. We also work with a local laundry to provide wash and fold service on a cost per pound basis. Extra housekeeping can be arranged for an additional fee.
Our maintenance and repair staff is on call seven days per week.
We provide door-to-door service to help residents get to their destinations within a 8-mile radius. There are regularly scheduled trips to shopping areas. In addition, we arrange special trips, transportation to personal appointments or to special events. All trips are arranged through the concierge desk.
The Lake Merritt provides basic cable television service, which includes over 100 channels. Additional channels are available through Comcast, including DVRs, personal internet service and premium programming.
